The First and Only Episode of Live! From Planet Zok
October 9th, 2008
We finally have edited down the first and only episode of Live! From Planet Zok.
The opening is a little strange. The training for Purdue’s Student Radio consisted of standing behind someone who was controlling the board and SAM program saying, “Here’s Deck A. Here’s Deck B. Drop stuff here. Make a playlist. Be sure to turn it on auto when you are done. Blah. Blah. Blah.” So we had no idea what was happening. Luckily, we figured it out. Enjoy!

After the first part, we played some Pavarotti, Alejandro Sanz, Dashboard Confessional, chatted a bit, and then went off the air…seemingly for good. It was a fun ride. Hope you enjoyed it. We may do another show if Rez can ever find the time.
Downtown Lafayette Gallery Walk Audio Collage
August 2nd, 2008
We took our recorder to the gallery walk last night and recorded some of the street performers. If you have never been on a Gallery Walk, you should. It’s a great time to see local art exhibits, enjoy some live music, drink free wine and eat some free food. A very enjoyable time.
The flyer can be downloaded from the Tippecanoe Arts Federation website.

Live from Planet Zok - A New Project
July 26th, 2008
The Media Collective is preparing a new project to begin this coming semester on Purdue Student Radio: Live from Planet Zok.
The show will be a mix of music, improvisation, and audio from the web site. There will also be a segment where listeners can call in and share their thoughts with the topic of the week.
We will be posting flyers around campus to generate awareness of this new project, but we will also need your help spreading the word as well. Tell your friends they will have a reason to listen to the student run radio this fall.
Here is our first design:
Danny Weiss at the Farmers Market
May 12th, 2008

The first audio piece put online that we recorded with our new Zoom H2 Handy Recorder. Let us know what you think.
This audio was taken on May 10th, at the Farmers Market, located on 5th Street in downtown Lafayette. We have Danny Weiss playing the saxophone, and entertaining the crowd early morning shoppers. Also, this is just a sample. There will be more!
You can hear the Danny Weiss Trio every Thursday night at the Black Sparrow from 10PM - 1AM.
The song is Jerome Kern’s All the Things You Are. Thanks for the update Danny!
