312-DRY-TOFU - Free-form Question, Comment, Improvisation Voicemail Line

Here is another installment of the free-form question, comment and improvisational voicemail art project, 312-DRY-TOFU (312-379-8638). Give us a call to share your perspective on anything and everything! Tell us about your day, improvise a monologue about a local event, or sing us a song. If it can be captured on the phone, we want to hear it.

In this episode we hear about: a series of steps to enjoy the Midwest, non-supernatural forces that govern our universe to engage in the damn good attempt of Mosey Down Main Street, being accosted by homeless people in Chicago, a sisters graduation celebration from Ball State University, pool party knowledge tips, sitting at Vienna documenting hellos, noise bumps, a haiku, being mindful of speaking proper Italian at Calo in Chicago, not-Write Club post game show with multiple guests, the greatest pieces heard on Lafayette radio, an explanation of what 312-DRY-TOFU is, a song about moseying down Main street.

Please join us for the next episode by calling and contributing to 312-DRY-TOFU (312-379-8638)!

The First and Only Episode of Live! From Planet Zok

We finally have edited down the first and only episode of Live! From Planet Zok.

The opening is a little strange. The training for Purdue’s Student Radio consisted of standing behind someone who was controlling the board and SAM program saying, “Here’s Deck A. Here’s Deck B. Drop stuff here. Make a playlist. Be sure to turn it on auto when you are done. Blah. Blah. Blah.” So we had no idea what was happening. Luckily, we figured it out. Enjoy!

Live from Planet Zok – A New Project

The Media Collective is preparing a new project to begin this coming semester on Purdue Student Radio: Live from Planet Zok.

The show will be a mix of music, improvisation, and audio from the web site. There will also be a segment where listeners can call in and share their thoughts with the topic of the week.

We will be posting flyers around campus to generate awareness of this new project, but we will also need your help spreading the word as well. Tell your friends they will have a reason to listen to the student run radio this fall.

Here is our first design:
