Bill Ayers Protest Soundscape – Purdue – 09-24-2009

The following audio was obtained on September 24th, 2009 in front of the Lawson Computer Science Building on the Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana campus.

In this soundscape you will hear various speeches, conversations, and the various other noises that occurred during the 4 and 1/2 hours we were at the protest. We apologize for the microphone grumbles and audio drop-outs near the end.

Bill Ayers Protest Interviews – Purdue – 09-24-2009

The following audio was obtained on September 24th, 2009 in front of the Lawson Computer Science Building on the Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana campus.

People started forming around the city block near the building, some of them belonging to the Citizens in Action and Purdue University College Republicans groups. Bill Ayers was scheduled to speak at 7PM that evening. We decided to interview those active in the protest and passerby from 5PM until about 9:30PM.

Percussive Group Practice near Memorial Union

While going on a bike ride around campus, we came across this group practicing between the Stewart Center and the Purdue Memorial Union.

We captured a time lapse video of their performance and put the first song to the video.
